We has received word that Rev. Mark E. Kroehler has past away at the age of 100. Rev. Kroehler was appointed to Peckvile in 1943 and replaced Rev. Lyle Weed who became an Army Chaplain. Rev Kroehler had unenviable task of ministering to the several families of war dead that time.

July 26th The Red Door CafĂ©’ at the Peckville UMC will be
serving a free lunch for all. Noon to 1:00 pm

Both Congregations:
Because hospitals no longer call Pastor as it interferes with patient privacy, the Pastor asks the family of anyone in the hospital to please call. Rev. Shambora may be reached at   570-371-8123

Until Marla gets back home, please call or text Tom Taylor @ 570-760-8233 for announcements. Email secretary@peckvilleumc.org  Please send an email or call as to who may need to be in our community of prayer for the bulletin by Wednesday evening.

If you are a visitor, kindly sign the guest book in the vestibule.

The mission statement of the Peckville and Bradley Methodist Churches: "To glorify God by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurturing disciples, and reaching out to a world in need."

Hunger Doesn't Take A Summer Vacation
Many children who receive breakfast and lunch during the school year do not receive the same nutritional support over the summer, leaving thousands of local kids at risk of hunger and malnutrition. The Food 4 Kids Summer program served more than 40,000 meals during the summer of 2013. The Program provided lunches to well over 1,400 children at 78 different sites in three counties. Some locations even serve breakfast or snack.
Peckville/Bradley Memorial UMC will be serving lunch to children at the Fern Hill Park, Grant St. Olyphant between 12:00 noon and 1:00pm July 28 thru Aug. 1st.
