SKY LAKE WINTER RETREAT
The Dates for this year’s retreat are Jan 27-29 Friday – Sunday

Please join us for a relaxing and fun filled weekend. You can sit and relax sit in front of the large fireplace, play games, sing songs, sledding, ice skating (weather permitting), take walks along the trails, or engage in conversation with friends. This year maybe we’ll have another drum circle!   Sky Lake has been part of our church’s spiritual life since 1949 and with winter retreats since about 1969. All the facilities are modern and food is prepared by the staff.  Last year the prices for the weekend were $106 13 years old and up, 4-12 years old $53 under 4 no charge for 2 Nights 5 meals. As soon as I know this year’s price I will inform everyone.  All are invited and everyone is welcome. Today, as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving this month we will have two special offerings remembering those who this holiday and every other day will not have enough food for themselves or their families
1) Our placed non perishable food items are set at the altar
2) When we receive communion you may place a special offering which will go to the world hunger fund of our Annual Conference which supports food pantries and hunger projects both within our local area and beyond.

 Today is also our food and fellowship. Please join us downstairs after the service. You can bring a dish to share if you would like.

 Peckville: Tomorrow we will be making Welsh cookies.
If you can help in the process we start at 3:30.

NEXT SUNDAY, Nov 20th. May 28th is our next Red Door Café. 12-1pm.  This luncheon is free and open to the public for some good food and fellowship.
  
 There will be a shoe drive until June 5th.  We are in need of gently worn shoes and they must be in pairs. Womens, Mens and Childrens.  If you have not already done your spring purging, please put your shoes aside for the church.
