SKY LAKE
The annual Peckville UMC winter retreat at Sky Lake is approaching fast. The retreat runs Friday evening Jan 31st through Sunday early afternoon Feb 2nd. Sky Lake Camp & Retreat Center is located north of Binghamton NY just off or Rt. 17.
The weekend can be a time to relax, a time to enjoy outdoor winter activities, or a little of both it up to you. Sledding, nature walks, possibly ice skating are just a few of the outdoor activities. An optional group craft is being planned for a banner to be left at Sky Lake to be hung as well as optional group discussion. Actually the two may complement each other and be done together. Of course just sitting by the fire in the large stone fireplace is always a popular “activity”.
Don’t get the idea that at Sky Lake Camp and Retreat Center you will be staying is drafty camp cabins. The facilities are modern and clean. The food is simple and delicious.
Give this weekend a try. We know that you will want to come back year after year once you have experienced Sky Lake through nature and Christian fellowship.
The cost for the weekend is:
Ages 3 - 11     $50.00
Ages 12 and up $108.00
